Skills and Experience
- Project Director for the implementation of Epic Inpatient CPOE (computerized provider order entry) and Clinical Documentation at a large, multi-facility regional health system.
- Managed a team to develop a strategic information system plan and RFP for the selection of an EMR vendor at a prominent academic medical center, including its School of Medicine, Hospital and Outreach Clinics.
- Conducted a review and assessment of vendor contract proposal for McKesson’s Paragon solution at a medium-sized healthcare system. Developed a 7-year TCO (total cost of ownership) and compared results to other proposed vendors.
- Lead facilitator for a series of pre-implementation accelerated design sessions for an Epic Inpatient Orders/Results implementation at a large academic medical center.
- Project Manager for the pre-implementation planning and process redesign initiatives for a multi-facility health system’s Epic implementation.
- Developed an Epic Ambulatory system implementation plan for a 120+ physician practice. A high-level timeline, detailed work plan, resource requirements and plans for change management, communication and risk/issue monitoring were created.
- Worked closely with the CIO and CMO of a multi-facility healthcare organization to lead three clinical teams through the decision-making process for best practice process redesign and physician adoption for a Cerner Millennium implementation.
- As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, responsible for the management of critical care therapists for the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units at a regional Children's Hospital.
