Gerry Bartley has over 30 years experience in the healthcare environment. He has served in senior management positions on all sides of Healthcare Delivery. Mr. Bartley represents a wealth of knowledge regarding the implementation of large scale, multi-facility clinical and financial systems.

Shirley Hughes has over 30 years of information systems and clinical consulting experience. She has worked in marketing and product management for three different clinical information systems vendors (an HIS, a POC Documentation System and a Critical Care System). She was a member of the senior management team for an automated cytology screening and information system vendor, as well as a vendor offering an automated microscopy, image analysis and telemedicine product line.

Shirley’s experience in information systems consulting has included engagements with multiple vendors and healthcare corporations in clinical applications design, product and marketing strategies, clinical information systems strategic planning, implementation and benefits realization projects. Most recently she has worked with healthcare organizations to select and implement point-of-care technology and bar coded medication administration applications.

Shirley’s career focus has been to discover ways of applying technologies and software to the healthcare environment in that positively impacts the way healthcare professionals care for patients.

 

Randy Carson - HIARandy Carson, FACHE, FHIMSS

Randy Carson has more than 25 years experience including senior management positions with Methodist Healthcare, NetCare Health Systems and HCA. His experience has also included several years as a Director of Management Engineering/Systems. 

Representative accomplishments are:

  • Served as Hospital Administrator/CEO in both for-profit and non-profit environment
  • Served on the Board of Directors for HIMSS –1991-95
  • Served as Director of Management Engineering for two large health systems
  • Developed numerous plans for cost reduction and revenue enhancement for large medical centers to small community hospitals
  • Served as Executive Director for three medical practices
  • Developed and managed numerous Benefits Realization Plans
